Put an end to slow, messy and painful methods of hair removal.
The Ellipse I2PL uses short and safe bursts of light emitted from a flash-lamp to remove unwanted hair in minutes.
How does it work?
The hair on your body contains pigments which are heated by the pulsed light. The heat is conducted into the hair follicles which are then rendered unable to grow hair. To ensure optimal light transmission a thin layer of gel is applied to your skin before treatment.
Does it work on all hair?
The process is more efficient on dark hair and light skin as the contrast provides the optimal conditions for the pulsed light. However there are different settings for various hair and skin combinations so it will work with a variety of hair and skin colours.
How long does treatment take?
It depends on how much hair you want removed, as an example, an upper lip takes about 5 minutes and both legs could take 60-120 minutes.
Does it hurt?
Tolerance to pain is relative but most people described the sensation as similar to that of a rubber band snapping onto the skin.
How can light remove hair and is it safe?
You can read a full description of the process here. The light used is a completely safe & visible light. Potentially harmful wavelengths are removed by a filtering system. If you have any further questions or concerns please ask Dr.Hynes during your consultation.
