Dull, tired look?
We have a bright idea to reduce wrinkles and improve your skin texture! No surgery, no injections, just reduced wrinkles.
How does it work?
Wrinkle reduction using the Ellipse I2PL is a two step procedure involving the application of a photo-spray before directing an intense pulsed light at the desired area.
First, the skin is sprayed with Intense by Ellipse Photo Spray for 1 hour. This spray acts as a photosensitiser, making your skin more receptive to the light and reducing wrinkles by collagen stimulation. The second step following the spray is the application of a transparent water based gel which is applied to your skin. The Ellipse operator guides the visible light from the flash-lamp to your face going over the area 3 times.
Will it work for you?
It works on mild to moderate wrinkles and will work for both light and sun-tanned skin.
How long does treatment take?
The photo spray needs to be applied every 5 minutes for an hour prior to the pulsed light treatment which would take another 15-20 minutes. Therefore, the overall procedure will take 90 minutes approximately.
Does it hurt?
The effect is based on a chemical reaction in the skin and therefore there is no heating of the skin. As a result, there is generally no pain involved in this process.
How can light reduce wrinkles and is it safe?
You can read a full description of the process here. The light used is a completely safe & visible light. Potentially harmful wavelengths are removed by a filtering system. If you have any further questions or concerns please ask Dr.Hynes during your consultation.
